Playio

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Playio handles information when you use the app on iOS, iPadOS, or tvOS.

Last updated: August 17, 2026

1. What Playio is

Playio is a media-player app that lets you use M3U playlists and Xtream Codes accounts that you provide. Playio does not sell, host, recommend, bundle, or provide television channels, playlists, movies, series, or IPTV credentials. You are responsible for using Playio only with content and services you are authorized to access.

Playio has no Playio-operated backend for playlist or viewing activity. The app connects directly from your device to the provider URLs you configure.

2. Information stored on your device

Playio stores app information locally so that the app can remember your setup and preferences:

  • Xtream usernames and passwords are stored in Apple Keychain using device-only protection.
  • Profiles that do not contain credentials, favorites, Watch Later entries, recently watched items, preferences, and playback progress are stored locally in app-owned storage on the device.

This local information is not uploaded to a Playio-operated server. Device security, backups, and Keychain behavior are also subject to your Apple device settings and Apple’s platform services.

3. Connections to providers you choose

When you add or use a playlist or Xtream account, your device communicates directly with the provider URL you entered. The provider may receive information necessary to respond to requests, including your IP address, request details, account credentials where required, playlist requests, viewing requests, stream traffic, and technical connection information.

Those providers are independent third parties. Playio does not control their availability, content, security, logging, retention, or privacy practices. Review the provider’s terms and privacy information before connecting, and contact the provider about its handling of your data.

HTTP connections are not transport encrypted.

If you choose a provider that uses HTTP rather than HTTPS, credentials, playlist requests, viewing requests, and stream traffic may travel without transport encryption and could be observed or modified in transit. Use an HTTPS provider whenever one is available.

4. Google advertising and consent on iOS and iPadOS

The free iOS and iPadOS version includes Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform. Google advertising is not integrated into the tvOS build.

Playio requests Apple App Tracking Transparency authorization before initializing Google advertising or consent SDK network activity. You may deny the request and continue using the app normally. Playio configures ad requests as non-personalized and disables Google’s publisher first-party identifier. These settings reduce personalization but do not mean the Google SDKs process no data.

Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and advertising authorization, Google’s SDKs may process:

  • device identifiers, such as an advertising identifier or other app- or developer-bounded identifiers;
  • coarse location estimated from information such as an IP address;
  • advertising data, including ads shown and interactions with ads;
  • product interaction data, such as app launches, taps, and related interaction events;
  • performance data, such as launch time, responsiveness, hangs, or energy use;
  • crash data and other diagnostic information.

Google may use this information for advertising, fraud prevention, measurement, and analytics in accordance with its policies. Playio does not provide playlist contents, IPTV provider credentials, searches, favorites, or viewing history to Google advertising SDKs.

For more information, review Google’s Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure, partner data explanation, and Privacy Policy. You can manage tracking permission in Apple device settings where available.

5. Apple purchases

Apple processes the Playio Pro one-time in-app purchase. Playio receives entitlement and transaction status through StoreKit so it can unlock purchased features. Mithat Gümüş and Playio do not receive your payment-card information. Apple’s handling of purchase and account information is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

6. Retention and deletion

App-owned local information remains on your device until you remove it through available app controls, reset relevant app data, or uninstall Playio. Uninstalling the app removes app-owned local information associated with the installation, subject to Apple platform behavior and any device backups you control.

Playio does not control how long Apple, Google, or user-selected IPTV providers retain information they independently process. Consult those third parties for their retention and deletion options.

7. Children’s privacy

Playio is not directed to children. Playio does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a Playio-operated backend. Parents and guardians should supervise playlist sources, provider accounts, and content available to a child, and should use applicable Apple device and provider parental controls.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to Playio, third-party SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel when required.
